Católica tied in the last minute in Santa Laura with reportedly bad referees. The head referee was Chilean... it is not usual to have same-country referees on a Copa Libertadores game, I would advice not to, or at least have a good one.
UC and UE happened to be in the same group, it may be a good or bad thing, there are more chances to have a Chilean team on the first or second and qualify next round, but also less chances for both to qualify.

It was decided in the first minutes: Another 5 goals on Colo-Colo widening the disaster. Colo Colo really need a new coach.
* Who's the new Colo Colo coach?
 Colo Colo really need a new coach, there are good players, but need somebody to motivate them. Beeing dead last, they can only improve. Noone is used to this: always Colo Colo, Universidad de Chile and Universidad Católica are in the first positions, now only Colo Colo is different, and the laughing stock of their rivals. Since Borghi is a sure thing for the National team, El Colo is after Américo Tolo Gallegos, and they need him quickly, who by the way championed on all the four teams he went to coach.

I spoke with Douglas Guddat (as well as he was last 2 shows present in the radio show), and during this show he texted me giving me the schedule:
Games Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 5:30 pm on the National Stadium, Festivities on Saturday 9:30 am and the game at 11:30 am.
There was the plan for the Chilean National Baseball Team to go Salta, Argentina and back for friendly matches but could not organize on time, so the plan B was playing friendlies in Santiago with local teams this week, teams and times to be confirmed, plus on Saturday the remodelling of some fields are to be released to the public, a party for the whole family including softball, instructors, and coaches or schools for whoever want to join or learn playing ball here in Chile, since we are in the preseason, and we always want more players.
* Colo Colo, Union Española and Universidad Catolica in Copa Libertadores
No Copa Libertadores this week, but they have to get more points, here are next week games for the Chileans (CLT):

Marcelo Rios declared is not going to play this circuit anymore, he is having terrible back problems so playing this level is impossible. It was nice to see one of the best Chilean athletes of the century playing in Chile, but it was ruled out to continue. There was more analysys in the show.

The difference is one game to be broadcasted live. As last year, it is a Zones First Round + a all vs all first round tournament. The second semester the games are the away couples, ending to choose 2 promoted. Also two seconds to fight in a mini-tournament against 2 second last of Pprimera A.
* Copa Chile Futbol Joven (Youth Soccer) this weekend
The Regular Season start March 20, but the Copa Chile (preseason) start this weekend, come see our future champions!
The tournament started last weekend, will finish this week, having more games in a first round thhis Wednesday February the 26.
March 5 the Apertura will start.
August 6 Clausura will start.
These young men ARE PROFESSIONALS. Being affiliated with ANFP, and to clubs, they can be promoted to their respective adult pro teams, as well as transfered to a foreign country or their passes sold.
* Copa Davis March 3-6 vs USA: the Americans are coming!
Massu is available, he grows in Davis, but there are few chances. Marcelo Rios himself declared it is going to be hard.

This second hour we covered the Earthquake of February 27, 2010: this weekend the first anniversary will be remembered, I just went to Concepción last weekend, and there are still signs of the destruction: empty lots where there was a building, condemned houses, closed streets, this is far from forgotten at least on the centers, because of slow reconstruction, lack of resources, scandals on the subsidies or the still awaited bridge, political struggles with the Intendent of Bio-Bio and her style of governing that is directly linked to the President and his confidence, so the attacks on her are also directed to him.
We gave advices on how to prevent accidents when an earthquake happen, or what to do afterwards, or any emergency.
Plus we listened to Francisca Valenzuela, a Chilean pop artist.
