Second Round of LNB, ANBP w/Federation for ANBS, Womens National team in Ñuñoa, DIMAYOR future.

The only almost Pro league currently being played is Liga Nacional de Básquetbol, and FOREIGN PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED.
In the Center Region are: Boston College Maipú, Universidad Católica Valparaíso, Providencia & Osorno Básquetbol.
South Region has Alemán Concepción, Universidad Austral Valdivia (UAch), Universidad Autónoma de Chile (Temuco) and Alumni.

After Liga Nacional ends, giving a team a position to play the Southamerican League, the Superior National Basketball Association (or ANBS, composed by the four DIMAYOR dropouts called ANBP) will join LNB and start the new League, TO BE NAMED with TWELVE TEAMS. All backed up by Febachi (Federation of Basketball of Chile), meaning that the Professional Sports Law will not apply. Late September/ early October is the proposed beginning.
- · ANBP Quadrangular
This weekend Talca was the location for a ANBP Quadrangular, and the teams are getting in tune because they only play amongst themselves: Liceo Mixto, U. Católica, Español Talca & UDECONCE. This time UDECONCE won in overtime.
- · DIMAYOR.
The last Presidents Reunion was Saturday, August 14 in the Los Lagos Region.
Reports say DIMAYOR will play regional Quadrangulars to select the finalists. To the confirmed Antofagasta Quad, are Puerto Montt, Constitución & Viña del Mar.
Already included teams are:
Puente Alto, Sagrados Corazones Viña del Mar, Celco from Constitución, Sokol Antofagasta, Osorno.
Still awaiting for response: Deportes Castro and a Ancud team representing the local Association.
Valdivia (CDV) left DIMAYOR but is courted by DIMAYOR to join the dying old league.
Most these are not professionally administrated.
If a team is not under the Professional Anonymous Sports Societies Law (SADP), then no resources available from Chiledeportes Ministery.
DIMAYOR ALSO promises TV for 2011.
- · Womens National team with Polemic
The Adult Womens National Team played this week Aug 10 until 14 the South American Championship in Ñuñoa. Ended fifth out of SIX.
An EL MERCURIO article added the POLEMIC:
The Womens Coach was ALSO coaching the Under-18 Mens National Team that played Copa America in Colombia, taking half of the time. Ziomara Morrison declared that was not informed to concentrate, Tatiana Gómez was asked to get a Canadian visa three days earlier before a tour.
