Deportes Concepción lost Copa Chile Final by penalties. Huachipato qualified and won first game. UDECONCE lost in Monumental... and Colo Colo too. Rowing in San Pedro: Chile won in medals



Deportes Concepción, or though lost its chance -at home- facing Curico Unido to qualify to Promocion mini-tournament, lost last game in Iquique, at last still had a title to play in Copa Chile (a nationwide tournament where every amateur and pro team can play) vs Iquique, the just crown Champ of Primera Division B (the second in importance). It was played in Coquimbo, a neutral site, but with majority of Iquique fans. It went to penalties on a nationwide live converage of major radios and an over the air TV Network. Lost penalties on both sides, the magnificent De Agustini goalkeeper of Concepcion caught one, but Iquique won the Champ and Concepción ended with nothing to celebrate.

UDECONCE had an impossible task: beat most importannt Chilean team: Colo Colo, to escape Promotion. Colo Colo beat 4-2 but neither obtained its impossible hope: UC to loose.

UDECONCE was condemned to fight in Promotion vs a Primera B team. It came after Union Temuco lost Wednesday vs Curico Unido, so UDECONCE need to win away/ home series ending Saturday, December 18 to decide who will be on Primera A 2011.

Huachipato qualified to play Pre Copa Libertadores mini-tournament vs Audax Italiano. The other series is Universidad de Chile vs Union Española. Winner has the Chile 3 post to Libertadores.

On rowing Southamerican (Youth) championship, Chile won Most gold medals in San Pedro de la Paz, beating favorite Brazil and Argentina. It included Adult competitions pending from this year.
