The former idea was the Chilean National Baseball Team to go Salta, Argentina and back for friendly matches but could not organize on time for the inauguration day.
The current plan for the Chilean Baseball Federation’s National Team is playing friendlies in Santiago with local teams this week. Douglas Guddat, a Chilean baseball broadcaster, informed this schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 5:30 pm on the National Stadium.
On Saturday the remodeling of some fields are to be released to the public. The Festivities start at 9:30 am and the game starts at 11:30 am. A party for the whole family including softball, instructors, and coaches or schools for whoever want to join or learn playing ball here in Chile, since we are in the preseason, and we always want more players.
Admission is free.
The Chilean Federation want baseball to be played on the Chile 2014 ODESUR competitions, for that, there is a need to have friendlies and strong competitions during the season.
