In a contundent win, Felinos won 0-50 in the debut of Rhinos in Los Angeles.

Felinos about to strike

About 15 away from the Bus Terminals, in the Callaquen Rugby Club complex, in the SOCABIO sector, American Football was played in the Rugby fields.

Felinos's Quarterback Acosta could do and test all the plays in the offensive playbook: passed, runned, even scored himself. Was replaced in the second half. On the other hand, Rhinos's lack of experience turned against them, even when playing with enthusiasm, and having 3 offensives knocking on the door inside the red zone, left with no points.

First Quarter's instructions by Coach Cataldo was no mercy.

Felinos used the uneven field in their favor, by kicking low to force errors in the erratic bouncing of the ball.

The field was weakly delimited inside, with color cones in the sidelines.

On a sunny day in Los Angeles, was an ideal day for American Football.

In 1Q Felinos kickstarted the game, and it was all Felinos all day.

Acosta, runned a TD score of 29-yd, for the right, after running out of passing options. 0-6.

The extra field kick failed, a little low but to the left of the parallels.

Again in 2° down and long, Left Wide Receiver caught a pass in the 11-yd and run for a TD passing 2 defenders.

The 2-points conversion was a run in the middle for the 0-14 lead and ended First Quarter.

The Second was looking good for Rhinos: received a place kick on own 10-yard and started an offensive that led them inside Red Zone.

A long pass on third down to he left was completed for 20 yards plus a 15 yards run from the receiver.

On Third and 8 in the offensive 12 yard, on a far snap to the QB, the QB handles the ball to an unsuspected HB who fumbled and Felinos recovered.

A little later, with Felinos inside the Rhinos 17-yd, we witnessed a good one-handed turn back catch for 10 yards and a run for the TD, crowned wth a 2-point convertion to set the partial 0-22.

Then Rhinos started an offensive that ended in the 26-yard running out of time. Bad use of the clock, and early use of timeouts in 1Q.

On Second half, Felinos again controlled.

QB Acosta in the offensive 32-yd had to run left, then returned right and then broke tackles for a TD. Another run for 2-points was stopped in yard 1. 0-28.

A place kick for Felinos was recovered by Felinos after a muff. The ball bounced off the back of a receiving team, towards the kickers.

Then it was time to the bench players to play, because the winner was decided.

Now Felinos, decided a long pass to end zone, but the safeties arrived first, one deflected and the other intercepted for a chance to overturn a previous gift.

After a failed 4th down, Felinos QB Acosta in the offensive 43-yd backed right, hurried left, then returned right for his third TD. Another run for 2-points was stopped in yard 1. 0-34.

On Fourth Quarter, Felinos finished a charge with a short TD pass in the goal zone. 0-40. The Olaechea bus RB runned through the defense for another 2-points conversion. 0-42.

Rhinos as usual marched from their own defensive side. While recovering a low snap, the QB fumbled in their own 40.

Felinos then launched a long 30-yd pass completion then a TD run in the middle celebrated dancing the polka. Another polka dance after #13 runned through poor defenses on the left side for a 2-points conversion. 0-50.

Last run, Rhinos reached Red Zone but could not score before the end of the game, with running plays.

Coach of Rhinos tried to uplift the moral: Felinos do not earn more points because of 50 points difference, move on and ready for the next game.

Coach Cataldo also declared that it was a very good game, for Rhinos the story is the same as Felinos, the difference may be just one season of experience, they are in the right path.

Rhinos have what is needed, now is only polishing the edges, focusing on the details and obtaining more support, because the Year of the Rhino started Sunday in Los Angeles.
