Liga Superior: First Round of Playoffs, Semifinals. Liga B. Decaying DIMAYOR.

Like the country, basketball is polarized between the Federation and the privates DIMAYOR/ Libsur.

> Liga Superior

Liga [Superior] Nacional "Movistar" Tournament ended Round One of First Playoffs, this weekend are the Semifinals.

Best-of-three First play-offs selected the Four semi-finalists:

Boston College beated Aleman 2-0.
Universidad Catolica beated Puente Alto 2-1 after loosing on the road.
Espanol Talca had no truble beating Sagrados Corazones.
Universidad de Concepcion LOST to Liceo Mixto, in Concepcion, thanks to Patricio Briones AND a SECOND foreign player.

Semifinals:
This weekend Liceo Mixto is facing Boston, Español vs Católica.

You can watch delayed weekday sports games at midnight by Hola Deportes on telecanal, including basketball games from LNB. No previous announcement but on the Radio Show and on twitter.

Monday night will present Español vs Sagrados Corazones. Probable Tuesday night we will be Saturday UDECONCE vs Liceo game. Wednesday night will broadcast Sundays UDECONCE vs Liceo final.

Undefeated Boston College closed the series vs Aleman in Maipu: 85-69.

Universidad Catolica won both home games vs Puente Alto, keeping a perfect home record: 82-71 and 82-66.

I have to research since I have reports of stealing the game by the referees.

Espanol Talca won the home game vs Sagrados Corazones at Talca: 62-42.

CD UDECONCE won Saturday an exciting game vs Liceo Mixto, including Patricio Briones and a SECOND foreign player: Hondurean Villegas.
Sunday game was exciting too, Briones had a nasty bleeding lip cut and left the game. Liceo was ahead from mid First quarter and even had a 20 points lead, but started to be closer in Fourth Quarter. 105-98.

Both games ended by fast attacks and fouls to stop the game clock.

Briones, the returning National Team player, was not a factor on none of the games, Villegas only surfaced Sunday, Patrick Sáez complained the whole game, and technical fouls were called because of the intensity of the games. UDECONCE was favored in most of the close plays, plus scored better on free throws, but on Sundays game Arteaga missed a lot of three pointers that could have made a difference. 87-95.

UDECONCE and Liceo was the most tied series, A NEW CLASSIC, Liceo is still eliminating UDECONCE and showing a paternity.

Saturday:
Zimmermann 29 points, Patrick Sáez 23.
Arteaga 30, Marechal 23.

Sunday:
Villegas 28, Zimmerman 20.
Marechal 31.

TOP 4 finals for Liga Nacional [B] Tournament are to be played soon.

To add to the decadence of basketball, DIMAYOR suspended last weekend games quoting a GOOD excuse: the Araucanía Games (Youth games between southern Chilean Regions and Argentinian Provinces) where there were good chances and are followed by a lot of people on both countries.

The North Group SHOULD start THIS Weekend November 20:
CAP Rancagua, Puente Alto, Universidad de Chile and SOKOL Antofagasta.

TOP 4 FINAL is supposed to be played December 17 on an undetermined site.
